Goals

Arcelor Mittal wanted to replace its legacy software with a web-based platform, a good time to review current applications and interfaces. They had no designers on their workforce so outsourced “UX & design”.

As Capgemini consultants we had the objective to make an interface that is user-focused, highly effective, easy-to-use and streamlined the supply-chain.

Converted our research into a design framework with principles, patterns, actions and a roadmap

  • Researched plenty of apps to optimise flows and automate where possible.

  • Combined multiple applications into 1 interface, used by several profiles in multiple languages.

  • Designed custom interaction patterns (ex. a complicated tree-like data structure).

  • Build a searchable dashboard to monitor personal tasks.

  • Installed data-visualisation to make better choices while planning production and delivery.

  • Interaction patterns, information flows and branding guidelines combined in a custom Design system.
